This project holds a deeply personal place in my practice. It emerged from the emotions I carried after my mother passed away in 2018—feelings I set aside for years before finally finding the courage to confront them through art. For a long time, that grief existed quietly in the background, unresolved and difficult to articulate. Creating this work became a way of processing that weight, translating memory and loss into something visible and tangible.
Through this project, I began to understand how art can hold space for both pain and reflection—how it can transform something deeply internal into a shared, human experience. It is as much about remembrance as it is about release, a moment of vulnerability that allowed me to reconnect with both my emotions and my creative voice.

This is for you, Mom.
