This project was unique in that we had to come up with a product that could be on display in 5-10 years from now. My concept is a smartphone that eliminates the need for conventional charging by running entirely on space-based solar power. Unlike traditional solar-powered devices that rely on inconsistent ground-level sunlight, this phone taps into satellite-based solar energy beamed directly to the device. The result: a phone that never runs out of charge, no matter where you are on Earth.
